Very dark amber, almost bronze, with a pinky finger of creamy off-white foam spotted lacing. Decent funk starts a fascinating nose, pumpkin puree, light fall baking spices, tart cherry, dried flowers, and musty grains. Taste is much the same, but much brighter in complexion than the nose, must is cut, but plenty funky and the pumpkin, spices, yeast, flowers, and especially cherry step up. It really works and it is glorious. Feel is funky and tart but light though not as bright and delicate as other afterthought ales. It is weird but it is so fun and it all comes together.
