Saison Meer with herbs grown in our garden. This one fermented and aged in Barrel #14, which previously held beers such as New York & Back, Saison Meer: Lilac (Wine Barrel Aged), and the original batch of Afterthought Ale: Wine Barrel Aged (Key Lime & Yuzu).

Mostly clear yellow body, two fingers of eggshell white foam, thick bands of lacing. Nose beautifully captures the lemon and herbal notes, with a musky hay, vinous oak, and floral wild yeast backing with hints of lime, peach skins and lemon. Taste starts the same but finishes with a yeast beet flavor that is odd, apricot addition is welcome though as it lingers in the sour aftertaste. Sour, bright, botanical textures are limited, acidity sneaks up on you by the end of the chalice. Complex and light

Cloudy and golden with a full finger of head. Dank and musty on the nose, with bright lemon accents. Straw, lemongrass, key lime, vanilla on the palate.
