Last release was the gin barrel release, and this shaped up to be the mead barrel release. Those of you who enjoyed the first two editions of "Barrel #34" will love this one. We took an oak-aged batch of Saison Meer and then aged it in a fresh black currant mead barrel from our friends at Standard Meadery. We aged this one for quite a bit longer than the "Barrel #34" releases so it picked up quite a bit more color and fruit character.

Darker golden murky body with a full white head, spotted lacing. Sweet mead backed blackberry, passion fruit, lemon, lime, and big black currant mead, slight honey, with flowers. Taste is more funky than sour, where nose is more mead and fruit, fruit is up front before funk and yeast finish. Feel is lighter but otherwise the same set up as the taste with the front being sour, wet and fuller before drying and lifting up the complexion.
