This was a pleasant surprise. I assumed the bourbon would overwhelm the brown ale but that wasn't the case. Taste reminded me very much of a Tootsie Pop, with hints root beer. Light mouthfeel made this very drinkable. Enjoyable but I wouldn't buy it again at the $10 price tag.

Huge light brown head that lingers. Dark cloudy brown with almost no carbonation. Smells woodsy and sweet. Tastes great for a Brown but I would never guess that it was barrel aged if it was not labeled. nIce complex malty flavors with little aftertaste. Very mellow. Pairs Very well with Aged Cheddar! Overall one of the best Brown Ales out there in the Southeast. Too bad most can't get there hands on this. 4.0

Very smooth, flavor packed, a bit too sweet
