Having this beer on-tap at the Euclid location. Served in a weizen glass, this beer draws a slightly cloudy/hazy medium to dark amber/brown color with a just slightly off-white head that is about an inch thick when the first drawn and served. Head eventually settles to a very thick film layer of surface coating with a thick ring lining the inside of the glass at the beer’s surface and excellent lacing. Aromas of some toasted, bready malts along w/ some dark fruit notes of fig, and a bit of nuttiness. A very similar flavor profile, with toasted, bready malts along with some wheat and the aforementioned fig that gives way to just a hint of chocolate. Not really any discernible hop presence here, and that is not really a surprise. Just a little hint of some earthy hops. Has a crisp, yet smooth, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Easy to drink the way good beer ought to be. Has a clean, slightly dry finish with a fairly sweet aftertaste.

Canned on 12/23/20. 16oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a dark amber with auburn and mahogany hues; fluffy and creamy khaki head that falls slowly leaving great thick retention and sticky lacing. The aromas have hints of banana and bubblegum. Subtle hints of cocoa and caramel. Yeasts and malts do their thing. The flavors basically follow the nose. More banana and bubblegum. More hints of cocoa and caramel. Mild spice notes. Some crackers and fresh bread in the mix. Low bitterness. It's not that sweet either. Solid malt backbone. Yeasts do their thing. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is very nice. It's on the lighter side of medium-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, crisp, fluffy, creamy, smooth and easy to drink.

This is a great Dunkelweizen. It's very clean, crisp and refreshing. The craftsmanship is very impressive and takes this one to the next level. They did a really nice job with this one. Well done.
