12oz can, painted label. Stamp on bottom lip is 'BESTBY: 12/24/25'.
Clear, pale gold colored body. Thin white head with the pour, and this continues as an interrupted cap and full ring. Leaves behind a jagged horizontal lacing ring.
Aroma of orange, toasted malt, and pine. Slightly dank.
Taste is sweet but also has a good level of pine bitterness. Fruit flavors of orange, grapefruit, and mango. Slightly dank. Aftertaste maintains the same balance of sweet and bitter.
Medium mouthfeel. Minor tongue numbing. Drying finish. Good carbonation.
Uses its higher IBUs to good effect in balancing the malt sweetness.

I got a 6pck of cans of this beer from the former "Convenient" store near where i grew up. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had bitter citrus notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright semi sweet malt base with bitter citrus presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

My rating for this is a little unfair because the beer was dated by a few days, I wish they used a canned on date, it coukd have been canned in Feb, but because it said best by May 20th im assuming it was canned at the end of last year. It actually held up really well, not skunked or anything offensive just a little bland. So I have good hopes when I try a fresher one

Poured from a can into a pint. Look is rich and golden. The head is frothy and leaves a fine lace. The smell is slight pine and dank citrus. The taste and feel at both surprisingly light. This is a good not great IPA. The artwork on the can however is outstanding

Poured out of a 12 oz can into one of my pint glasses, this beer pours a clear, medium golden color with a fluffy looking white head that's over an inch thick when first poured. Head settles eventually to a thick surface coating cluster swirl of foam along with a thick ring of foam lining the inside of the glass. Has decent lacing. Aromas of of slightly toasted, bready caramel malts along with some resinous, dank, piney, and slightly citrusy hops. A very similar flavor profile, with slightly toasted, bready caramel malt sweetness that gives way to the aforementioned resinous, dank, piney, and slightly citrusy hop flavor with just the right amount of bitterness for a well balanced IPA flavorwise. Has a fairly crisp, slightly prickly, also smooth and frothy, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a slightly dry finish with a nice hoppy after taste. A very refershing IPA.

The appearance, the best thing about a Collision Bend beer, is clear shimmering amber with an off-white lumpy foam.

The smell is non-existent, while the taste nearly falls prey to the same fate, aside from some Melba toast. What a waste of water.
