What a cool sounding brew - apples, honey, spices. It turns out to balance those perfectly. But the name too (as it turns out, there were many brewers that liked the Adam Sandler song).
It pours a translucent light brown with just a bit of head. The aroma is crazy with nice little hints of everything and a bit of stench from brewing it all. The taste is nicely balanced. It is still an ale, and not over flavored, but all those things come through. Balance.
Highly recommended. I am overjoyed to have 5 more cans!

Poured out of a 12 oz can into one of my pint glasses, this beer pours a dark red copper/amber color with a tan head that's about an inch thick when first poured. The head settles to a nice film layer of big cluster swirls of foam on the beer's surface along with a nice, thick ring lining the inside of the glass along with good lacing. Aromas of some toasted, bready caramel malt sweetness along with apple, cinnamon, and honey. The taste is quite similar, with some toasted, bready caramel malt sweetness that gives way to apple cinnamon and clove. The apple is a really nice, unique flavor here that is certainly not typically found in this style, or most styles, of beer. And I feel it really adds something. The honey is here too, but it is more of a subtle flavor in the background. The flavor profile is rounded out with nice earthy hops that provide just the right amount of bitterness. I really like the flavor profile here, as it is quite balanced all around. Has a crisp, yet smooth medium to full bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean, slightly dry finish with a slightly sweet and slightly spicy aftertaste. A good beer here.

12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours amber with some ruby hues; fluffy khaki head that falls leaving solid retention and lacing. The aromas are malt forward with some subtle and mild spice notes. Some cocoa, caramel, cinnamon and peppermint, but those are on the milder side. You have to dig deep to really appreciate the aromas. The flavors have more peppermint and cinnamon. I'm picking up some chai tea as well. Some spruce in the mix. Some caramel. Moderate bitterness. It's not as sweet as I was expecting. The apples aren't as prevalent as I was expecting. The subtle spices really come through in the finish. Malts do their thing without completely dominating. Alcohol basically goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of full-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, fluffy, smooth and dangerously drinkable.
This is a solid brew. Everything is subtle and balanced, which works and is probably the strength of this one. It's fitting for the holiday season and cooler weather. I like it.

Pours a dark copper red, very clear and little carbonation, thin lacing. Smell is cinnamon with some other subtle spices I can't figure.
Taste is cinnamon and honey with just hint of pumpkin. Low spice level, which is nice because so many winter ales overdo the spices. Slightly creamy mouth feel & easy drinking.
I'm usually not a fan of winter ales, but this is the best of the maybe 2 dozen or so I've had.
