L. Pours a deep dark black. Almost opaque. Perhaps the blackest beer I’ve seen. Thin khaki head that fades to a nice lace
S. Tough to pin down. Some burnt cocoa. Some roasted coffee. Some nutty. Very complex
T. Follows the smell. Toasty and nutty but with a sweet layer that still finishes with a sharp bitterness
O. This is a well crafted but hard to pin down beer. Complex and a little hard to drink at first but it mellows nicely as it warms. The 9.5 ABV doesn’t hurt either. Respect the effort and I really enjoy it but probably not for everyone

16oz can poured into a tulip. Pours almost black; small khaki head that fades leaving decent retention and lacing. The aromas have some hops. Hints of honey and cocoa. Malts are there. The flavors are interesting. They're bitter but there's a sweetness to it. The flavors are basically the epitome of being bittersweet. Some hop flavors as well. Some raw honey coming through. The walnuts do their thing. Some floral notes. Hints of cocoa. Mild alcohol notes, but it's not hot or boozy at all. Mouthfeel is nice. It's full-bodied with moderate to active carbonation. It's sharp, fluffy and smooth.
This is an interesting imperial stout. It's definitely unique. I'm having a hard time deciding if I like it or not. I definitely respect and appreciate it. Either way it's fine and the craftsmanship is on point. It might be slightly rough around the edges at times for me personally, but it's still pretty fun to drink.
