I think I liked other Collision Bend brews more than this - I was very willing to try something new from them (still am). I did not know they had a location on Babbit Road (less than 10 miles). This one has a cool name and a musician's charity connection.
It pours a pretty red with nice head - typically this style looks really nice. The aroma is robust - malty and some finishing hops. The taste is a mild but still malty version of the style and not overly hopped. It is a little thin but still a lot of beer for your 5.1% ABV.
Recommended. It's not a great value at $4/can, but it is for a good cause. Now I need to investigate the brewer more closely - I did not know they were so close to home.
