Wheated Meadows is a unique single-barrel release made in a barrel of Weller Full Proof Wheated Bourbon. Our base Meadows dark lager with honey and bee pollen was first finished in stainless steel then put into this special barrel for 11 months. The result is beer with smooth dark chocolate notes and surprising drinkability for 10.7% ABV. We got this barrel from some pals that will share in the fruits of our labours.

Pours a dark brown colour with garnet highlights and a finger of dark tan head.
Bready and doughy on the nose with almost a Hefeweizen like note of spice and banana, a touch of chocolate and hints of bourbon.
Palate hits with the bready wheat malt, dough
with a touch of spicy earthy hops, notes of chocolate, vanilla and bourbon.
Medium full mouthfeel with above average carbonation and a smooth clean finish.
