Lager O’Darkness is our homage to the classic lighter dark beer. We put our lager twist on it and walk the line between easy drinkability and rich maltiness. It is black in color with high clarity, low bitterness, and notes of dark chocolate and toasty malt. Believe it or not, this is a great patio beer.

16 ounce can - packaged Nov 28/24 - one of the last brews at The Market site, as Blind Enthusiasm transitions away from clean beer to their wild brewing at The Monolith.
Clear very dark brown pushing to black pour with reddish highlights and a finger and a half of fine bubbly dark tan head.
Nose is immediately roasty (if I try hard enough can almost convince myself of a gentle smokiness) - coffee, dark chocolate, and a bit of nuttiness on a bready malt base.
Taste follows with a roasty and bready (? pumpernickel), dark chocolate, coffee, and a slight nutty flavour - soft bitterness.
Smooth and light, but far from thin, mouthfeel; nice carbonation with a satisfying dry finish.
This is great and deserves high marks as a 4% beer that is drinkable but not watery or anemic.
