The rich, creamy “Milkshake IPA” base brewed with oats and lactose is significantly lightened up by the tart bite of lime juice and yes, plenty of fresh Lilikoi added right from the beginning of fermentation! Passion fruit, Maracuja, Lilikoi – whichever name you call it, this amazing fruit features front, back and center in this mouth-watering beer!

real good, real modern, pretty sweet, very flavorful, i think a lot of these types of beers that call them selves ipa at the end of all of this fruit and milkshake language rarely actually taste like ipa at all, always thought that more of a marketing thing, but this is still hop forward beer, even with loads of lime, passion fruit, and lactose, and a nicely selected mix of hops at that, very southern hemisphere to me and super compatible with all the fruit, more drinkable than expected too, a lovely pour out at their happening hilo location. washed out pale yellow brew thats quite hazy with an inch of white head and lots of bubbles from the tap, light for being hazy, fast fade on the head, smells awesome, as much lime as passion fruit to me, both natural and quite a bit of acidity from both as well, this almost hits sour on first sniff. sweet too, like sweet corn, a vanilla thing, marshmallow, the lactose is all through it to me, and almost candies the hops, which have kiwi and green melon as well as white wine character that works real well with the fruit and they smell super fresh. canned pineapple to me to here suggest there could be mosaic in play, but there are almost assuredly others at work, lovely. sweet all the way through the flavor, almost white frosting from a can to me, its sweeter than it needs to be but the tang of both fruits cuts it, lime first and last, passion fruit in the middle, hoppy the whole way but mostly dry hopped to me, light bitterness, some almost citrus pith bitterness too, but its relaxed overall. the high carbonation is awesome, the fruitiness pops in here, the aftertaste is summery and different, the hops go great in this, id love to know what they used. less lactose would be good for drinkability, this is sugary but it feels soft and flush and is pleasant anyway, oats likely in here. very flavorful and fun, one of the best beers we had at our visits to each of their big island spots, my wife loved it!
