part of a 64oz growler kindly provided by Mike Evans last Saturday night. Reviewed from notes.
Looks the part, dark brown body, small slightly fizzy off white head leaving very nice lacing.
Aroma is nice and malty, which this Brit certainly appreciates.
Taste is, to this palate, exactly what a solid no frills brown ale should taste like. Good and malty, a little lively in the mouth.
Mouth is medium, finish is ever so faintly sour.
Really enjoyed my first offering from a brewery likely 5 miles from my door, as the crow flies. Will seek out others, to be sure. A solid, solid, brown ale (sorry, thesaurus not here)

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
