Not much chocolate on the taste or smell. Seems lower abv than listed. Not overly roasty but pretty good.

Growler shared at FosterJM's birthday celebration courtesy of FosterJM.
Pours a clear dark brown with a tan head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark malt, coffee, and cocoa. Taste is much the same with a mild roasty bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a pretty good level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer and much better than any of the beers I had at the brewery itself in the past.

1282nd Review on BA
Draft to 5oz
@Bigbear Brewing
App- Served in the glass a very very dark brown with a dense black center. A bit of garnet on the edges with a nice small khaki one finger head.
Smell- Nice roasted peanut aromas with some semi- dark chocolate. A bit grainular and spritzy. Had a nice thick malt backbone as well.
Taste- Where has this been in all the other beers? It had flavors, was well layered, and bold. A large chocolate flavor carries over with a nice roast note behind it. You can taste the porter flavors as well vs. stout.
Mouth- A fairly dense medium body with a medium full carbonation level. Good chocolate and roast notes carry over.
Drink- By far the best of the day. More flavor, more layers and these guys seem to do better with high ABV. Liked it. Grabbed a growler to share at 30th bday party
