Black Plague Brewing

 

Pours a slightly hazy, straw color with a soapy white head. Fills up this 20 oz. glass perfectly. Aroma is very dank, with the simcoe hops dominating. Weed, subtle pine and orange pith.

Flavor is very light, but perhaps a bit too heavy on the malty sweetness. It dominates the aftertaste, despite the hoppy dryness. For 5.5%, there could have been a more delicate malt bill. Almost like there is some unattenuated sugars leftover from fermentation contributing to the flavor. Overall, though. It’s light and refreshing, and the artwork is so sick, I’d enjoy it no matter what.
