Serving: 650 mL bottle poured into a nonic pint glass.
Appearance: Clear, copper orange, visibly carbonated. Frothy, bubbly off white head lingers and leaves nice lacing.
Smell: Light aroma of caramel malt and toasted malt, fruity yeast, and hints of alcohol.
Taste: Mellow malty body, slight caramel sweetness, vanilla, and some ale yeast fruitiness. Crisp but subdued hop bitterness rounds out the dry finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium body and lively carbonation.
Overall: Generally balanced and drinkable but a few harsh notes detract from a basic red ale.
