Appearance - Pours a deep amber with two fingers of bubbly tan head.

Smell - biscuity malts, toffee, earthy and leafy hops, and honey.

Taste - Nice balance between the malts and hops. The honey follows suit to create a nicely balanced brew.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes off dry with a lingering malt sweetness.

Overall - A balanced brew that displays the malt sweetness and subtle hop bitterness to a tee. Well executed nonetheless.

Serving: 650 mL bottle ("packaged on 21 May 15 10:59), poured into a small tasting glass.

Appearance: Slightly hazy copper amber. Fine, bubbly off white head recedes to a nice cap of foam and some lacing.

Smell: Rich malt aroma, toasty; earthy and grassy hops.

Taste: Full, malty body with honey sweetness and near burnt caramel notes, balanced by prominent west coast hop crispness: citrus and herbal bitterness. Finishes very dry.

Mouthfeel: Medium body and moderate to lively carbonation.

Overall: A full, malty lager with a good dose and hops to keep balanced and refreshing, and complex enough to be interesting.

not my style of choice. That said I find this one super drinkable. They've just got enough hop on the back end to keep the sweet honey/nut malt in check. If Amber German style lagers are your thing you should give 'er a whirl.
