This German-style Pilsner is a rich, full-bodied beer with a nice hop bite. A celebration of the place our brewery calls home, Victoria Pilsner is our way of sharing a little piece of the Island with you, no matter where you go.

Sampled from a mixed 12 pack. Tastes like a standard pilsner, but incredibly fresh. Substantial hop bitterness like an authentic pilsner. However as with many European pilsners the alcohol taste apparent. Not my favourite style usually for this reason. It is incredibly fresh and clean tasting and the production date is clearly printed on the bottom. Strong indications this brewery knows what it is doing, I look forward to trying the others.

Pours pale gold with a 1 finger white head. Very mild scent; hard to discern specific notes. Tastes of hops, mild bitter aftertaste. Medium carbonation. Overall it's a fairly generic craft pilsner. Better than standard brands but as a craft beer it just makes the mark.

They do have a trendy new can which is quite attractive.

A: Gold with a white head, thin ring of retention, little lace.

S: Light floral, grassy & spicy aroma (classic saaz).

T: Lightly floral & grassy with a little spice, slight underlying biscuity malt, modest bitterness.

M: Light to moderate body has a clean, crisp finish.

D: Very approachable; a good transition to craft. Easy drinker, but not very enticing.

This is a return to the brewmaster's roots training in a German brewey. Crisp clean with a solid hop profile ,I now pronounce you my fave BC pils in a bottle. The finish is full and clean with a sense of slight sweetness to round it off. This is no full blown grassy pils but rather a well made lager that shows its German roots.
