473ml can - besides the blackberry and raspberry concentrate, what other 'natural flavour' would be required here? Just asking for me, myself, and I.

This beer pours a clear, medium magenta/red colour, with three fingers of puffy, fizzy, and finely foamy pale pink head, which leaves very little in the way of appreciable lace anywhere near the glass as it quickly blows off.

It smells of gritty and bready cereal malt, some mixed dark berry fruitiness, a hint of generic citric acridity, and some plain earthy, musty, and dead leafy hoppiness. The taste is grainy and crackery pale malt, raspberry and blackberry puree (the fruits, not the respective tech), some zesty yeastiness, and more understated weedy, herbal, and musky floral hop bitters.

The carbonation is adequate in its palate-propping frothiness, the body a so-so middleweight, and fairly smooth, considering everything else going on here. It finishes trending dry, because that is the way of things, as well.

Overall - this is a respectable and flavourful (via whatever vector) enough version of the style, nice and crisp and frooty, and reminiscent of summer enjoying the fresh-picked bounty of my parents' acreage garden spread, all those years ago.

473ml can poured into tulip. Contains "natural flavour". Oh dear.

Pours a clear fruit punch red with a thin cap of pink head that leaves a couple scattered bubbles of lace on the side of the glass.

Smells of juicy mixed berries, some light doughy malt and a bit of minty, earthy hops.

Tastes of raspberry pie, blackberry jam, bready pale malt and some more mild herbal hops.

Feels light and fizzy. Light bodied with tickly carbonation. Finishes off-sweet.

Verdict: Recommended. Not very sophisticated, but tasty and pleasant.

Clear dark red color. Small flux of fine bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass. Very little pink head that reduced to a patchy skiff in a few seconds. No lacing.

Clean fresh raspberry scent with a hint of mint. Swirling the glass kicked it up into a rich raspberry smell tending towards blackberry.

Tart raspberry with a little bit of wood. The midtaste is pulled away from plain raspberry juice to a bit of the blackberry and a hint of something else, perhaps some very light malt. The aftertaste returns to raspberry with a touch of bitters. The woody flavor builds up over several mouthfuls.

Tongue tickling carbonation that foams up into medium sized bubbles. Slightly astringent.

This has managed to keep the berry from having the usual scorched flavor. However I don't know what the intention was: a fruit drink for people who don't like beer? This could have been a summer cooler produced with concentrate, grain alcohol, and fizzy water. There is very little here for a beer drinker. That said, it was a nice drink and very refreshing.
