650ml
A: copper
S: not too much, maybe a bit of caramel/butterscotch; not smelling fresh
T: very little of anything. More like a simple golden ale. Lacking the maltiness and dry finish I would hope for. Balanced but without any character.
M: fresh, medium bodied, brightly carbonated
O: not a bad beer just very forgettable.

A: Crystal clear brassy or orange tinted apricot, white head only left a scant few bubbles around the glass. This brew is showy, crystal clear brew and rich colour it's a true stand out in the glass.
S: Sweet toasty malts followed by a mild funk, reminiscent of a saison. Clean and crisp, mild metallic scent.
T: Malt up front with some toasty notes that develop as it passes over the palate. Mild hop after taste.
M: Crisp feel with just a minimal about of carbonation.
O: A good show with some nice malty-toatiness, familiar scent and taste of a lager with a mild funk.

A - Copper brown, beautiful head, minor lacing
S - Very neutral and lager-like, did not add or diminish to the beer
T - Balanced malts, almost a bit toasty, offset and balanced by ever so slight West Coast hop flavour
M - Light/medium, crisp, well-carbonated, has zip but finishes smoothly
O - Another great entry in Vancouver Island's bomber series! Just yesterday their rep teased me with the information that they will be doing another one for Christmas but everything else is so secret that they can't say anything else about it!

Vancouver Is. Brewing's "Iron Plow" Harvest Marzen @ 5.8% , from the new seasonal series 650 ml bottle's
A-pours a pleasing dark gold with a nice fluffy head leaving some spotty lacing
S-similar to a pilsner with no hops
T-rich tasting malty goodness , must be the nourishment from the malt , yet no hop bitterness
MF-good carbonation , medium/full bodied , filling and refreshing beer
Ov-for only $5.99 a bomber , yes I'll be enjoing more , while they last
Cheers LampertLand
from the bottle -
Those who lay the foundation rarely receive the credit, but we think that those Islanders who sacrifice blood, sweat and tears should reap the spoils. This Harvest Märzen is made to celebrate the end of the summer harvest, and a change into the fall season. A creamy, smooth and malty beer representing the bounty of a season’s hard work, from plow to pint.
