It pours a dark red in colour with definite caramel on the nose. It tastes just like it smells a sweet toffee like with mild carbonation.

A: Dark amber with two fingers of tan bubbly head dissipating into a thin layer.
S: Sweet and malty, aroma of rich, dark, perhaps dried fruits.
T: Sweet, but not overly so. This is kind of like the fruitcake of beers: dark, sweet and fruity.
F: Thin but crisp.
O: Quite enjoyable.

A: Deep amber color, very thin head, very little lacing
S: Rich caramel, slight burnt sugar and toffee notes
T: Caramel, sweet and malty, slightly fruity, leaves a rich malt sweetness in your mouth
M: Medium body, a little bit creamy, finish is quite sweet
O: More or less what you would expect from a seasonal winter lager, flavors are good but not complex, caramel sweetness dominates the palate with little else going on, its not a bad beer at all, I really enjoyed it, but it does not compare to some of the other winter warmers out there

Part of the sweet new craft beer mixed pack for October 2013. This is a very malty lager that has big caramel notes on the finish. Pretty decent and what VIB does well :ie a ,malty dark lager. I am not sure I would want a 6 pack of this a welcome addition to the mixed 6 pack.

Vancouver Is 'Storm Watcher' Winter Lager @ 5.5% , served from a 6pack of 341 ml bottle's purchased for $12
A-pours a warm amber/red , with a small quick dissapating off white head , leaving some spotty lacing along the stein
S-caramel sweetness and a hint of honey
T-sweet caramel start with a malty toffee & a lot of honey finish , no wow factor
MF-low carbonation , medum body , easy on the palate ,
Ov-Storm Watcheris an ok/good beer but lacks something , not sure what ,
I'd rather enjoy a Hermannator this winter
cheers LampertLand
