I've never found the 250-character minimum for reviews an impediment until now. I don't have much to say about this beer other than, "Meh."
This beer's look is its strongest asset, with a creamy two-finger head topping a coppery amber body. The sticky head left nice rings on my pint glass as I drank this one down.
The aroma was faint, with a hint of caramel. The same could be said for the taste: a hint of caramel that wasn't too sweet, followed by a grainy finish. Low carbonation and a thin body left me feeling this beer was flat and watery, not creamy.

Interesting mix of Scottish ale and cream ale. Nice red colour with a decent head.
Smells strongly of malts, with a hint of creamy caramel that is often found in cream ales.
Taste is quite good: sort of a combination of Belhaven's Scottish ale and Kilkenny. The malts come across as a little weak, but is balanced by a certain spicy bite, Not disappointing, but not "in-your-face" as McEwan's or Belhaven...however, this is a cream ale aswell and can be expected to be smoother.
This ale is easy to drinking and worth buying again.

Dispenses chestnut brown with a handsome, dense head. Lacing remains through to the bottom of the glass. . The aroma is spicy & peppery, with an accompaniment of floral hops. Opening flashes of sweet malts are quickly replaced with a touch of biscuits and a delicate hop finish. All the while, a quiet nuttiness makes some reoccurring cameos. Mouthfeel is highly carbonated, yet buttery, with a pleasant prickling finish.
Notes:
This is a gem of a beer. Comparable to McNally’s Extra, from Big Rock & Smithwick’s. This is definitely the premier offering from this brewery.
