Found in a Moscow grocery store, the clear 1/2 liter bottle features a stubby neck and a red and white label with little more than writing ("ultra light") on it. Ingredients conform to the purity law. Best before 6/10/06, I opened it on 3/24/06.
Pours a clear, not particularly pale gold under a two finger white head that sticks around quite a while and leaves some very nice lace. The nose is mild, with a definite hint of sweet mint to go with the grain. The mouth is fairly flight, and almost as heavy as corn syrup. There's not much here in terms of flavor, with corn probably the strongest impression, laced with a touch of peppermint. Although the back label plays up the "very distinct hops flavor," I can't say that I detect it. There may be a touch of dry sour in here somewhere, but that's about it. The finish and aftertaste are sweet, not bitter. I really don't see how they call this "ultra light." It ain't great, but it ain't light either.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
