i still think i prefer the regular kolsch, but this coffee edition is nice. the cold brew blended in gives it a nice earthy base which works perfectly with the dry cereal malts in here, and the coffee smells almost caramely and sweet in this context, but its more bitter and roasty in the flavor, i think perfectly proportioned and super refreshing! the best of both beer and coffee combined. dark chocolate to this too, and still the crisp almost lager quality that the base beer exhibits. good bitterness in here, goo depth of flavor, but still really light and drinkable. there is also no acidity whatsoever from the coffee, it stays as easy as the base beer was. i could see this beer being absolutely amazing from the nitro tap, bringing out the coffee more and playing on its creaminess, but this is still one of our favorites we had in here, a really nice introduction of good coffee to a solid base kolsch style. they should do well with this one as long as the weather stays hot. long coffee finish, still dry and clean though, really good beer.
