Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a semi-ruddy burnt orange close to amber color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head. Quickly dissipates leaving some stringy lace. The aroma had a nice blend of caramel/toffee malts, some nuts and then a bitter citrus rind/grapefruity hops. The flavor blends decently between the malts and the hops sliding into a nicely blended aftertaste and riding on into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt fine. Overall, good amber ale worthy of coming back to.
