Copenhagen 11/6 2023. 44 cl can from DrikBeer web-shop. Blue can in Fuerst Wiacek's usual naivistic design with a landscape of weird colorful hills - some with stripes.
Pours opaque, hazy pale yellow with a big white head. Settles as 4 cm thick crown of foam covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a mild sweet odor of stone fruit mingling with an aggressive citric scent. Sweet peach and apricot. Grapefruit and citrus. Touch of petroleum. Touch of resin.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, slightly viscous, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a somewhat stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a bit acerbic. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Fine and intense NEIPA with a light heartburn.

Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical/citrus hops, with notes of passion fruit and grapefruit, as well as accents of dank weed. Taste is an excellent balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, slightly dank hops, with strong tropical and lighter citrus notes of passion fruit, papaya, grapefruit and orange, as well as some grassy weed. Finishes with a light bitterness and some passion fruit, grapefruit and dank weed lingering in the aftertaste. Soft, pillowy mouthfeel with a nedium body and carbonation.
Another quality NEIPA from Fuerst Wiacek, who have really overtaken FrauGruber as the finest makers of the style in Germany in recent months. I just hope that the same thing won't happen to them once they finish building their own brewery. While it's perhaps a bit too sweet for my personal taste, this is balanced nicely by some lightly bitter and dank accents, while the hops really pop here with some quite vibrant tropical and citrus notes, with this having a great, soft and pillowy mouthfeel as well.
