Pours a hazy, bright orange coloration with a small, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and citrus/tropical hops, with the zesty citrus notes of grapefruit and tangerine dominating, as well as a hint of papaya. Taste is a great balance of very light biscuity malt and juicy, slightly dank and resinous hops, with fruity citrus and tropical notes, but clearly dominated by zesty grapefruit, tangerine and lime peel, as well as lighter papaya and just a hint of pine. Finishes with a light bitterness and minor hop burn, as well as some zesty citrus notes and light pine lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
I have a love-hate relationship with NEIPAs. If I drink too many of them, they start to get on my nerves, if I swear off them, I start to miss them after a while. Anyway, this is certainly a great reintroduction to the style that's hazy, juicy and with a nice mouthfeel, while being quite focussed on the zesty citrus notes, with only much lighter tropical accents and hints of dankness and pine, as well as a light bitterness in the finish. A great example of the style, as usual from Fuerst Wiacek.
