Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and citrus/tropical hops, with notes of orange, lime peel and mango, as well as a hint of mint also coming through. Taste is an excellent balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, herbal and slightly resinous hops, with strong citrus and lighter tropical notes of orange, grapefruit, lime peel, mango and papaya, as well as herbal accents of lemongrass and mint. Finishes with a light bitterness and some orange, grapefruit, mango and mint lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This makes for a great New England IPA with quite vibrant and expressive hop aromatics, being dominated by rather zesty citrus and with lighter, sweet and slighty tangy tropical notes, with some distinct herbal accents as well. I'm not usually a huge fan of Sabro hops, but they don't feel that coconutty here, taking on a bit more of a minty presence, which I can enjoy a lot more. Pretty nice mouthfeel to this as well. I probably enjoyed this more than most of the Other Half NEIPAs I had some weeks ago, terrific stuff.
