De 32gp. En copa Mahou Barrica. Estudiando y jugando a Fortnite. Muy buena imperial stout con perfil chocolatoso y ligeramente a regaliz que entra francamente bien a pesar del elevado abv, no resultando nada pesada y con sensación alcohólica bien contenida

Pours a pitch-black coloration with a medium, creamy head. Smells of roasted, caramel malt and chocolate, with just a hint of licorice and nutty accents as well. Taste is a good balance of slightly roasted, quite caramelly malt, milk chocolate, molasses, brown sugar and lighter dark fruit, with notes of raisin and fig, licorice and just a hint of nutty accents and vanilla. Finishes quite sweet, with some caramel malt, brown sugar, chocolate and molasses lingering in the aftertaste. Full mouthfeel with a medium/rich body and light/medium carbonation.
While this may well be to style for a Pastry Stout, to me this is just a sugary sweet mess that I didn't enjoy at all to be honest. I really need to make a mental note never to purchase any beer ever again that contains the word "pastry" in the style description, as sweetness is not something that I seek out in beer. While there is a pretty nice, rich and full body and mouthfeel to this, the overwhelming sweetness, as well as certain booziness, just makes this not for me all, despite very light roasted and bitter accents that are really fighting a losing battle here, while I don't think that the pecans are coming through all that much as well.
