Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and citrus/tropical hops, with notes of grapefruit and pineapple. Taste is a great balance of light biscuity malt and fruity juicy, slightly bitter and resinous hops, with citrus and tropical notes of grapefruit, lime peel, pineapple and papaya, as well as just a hint of pine. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some grapefruit, pineapple and pine lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
A pretty nice New England IPA that's big on the citrus notes, with grapefruit standing out here particularly from the Simcoe, which also brings some resinous bitterness to this as well. I really like this because of its somewhat atypical dry and bitter, quite zesty character that is balanced quite well by some sweeter tropical notes. Overall this makes for a very enjoyable NEIPA that's diverges from the typical flavor profile a little, which I can quite appreciate personally.
