Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a large, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity malt and tropical/stone fruit hops, with notes of papaya and apricot, as well as some black tea also coming through. Taste is an excellent balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, earthy, slightly floral and resinous hops, with tropical, stone fruit and citrus notes of mango, papaya, apricot and tangerine, as well as some black tea and just a hint of pine. Finishes with a medium bitternes and some mango, apricot and black tea lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This makes for a great, quite juicy NEIPA that shows off Idaho 7 beautifully with some vibrant and expressive tropical and stone fruit notes, as well as lighter citrus accents, a distinct, earthy black tea presence and hints of pine. I really like the balance of juicy and earthy, bitter and slightly resinous notes here, making this exactly the kind of NEIPA that I enjoy the most. Very nice body and mouthfeel as well, especially for the ABV.
