Initial thoughts are George Harrison-like, I mean, “My Sweet Lord.” And it’s like that - first sip was like seeing “The Wild Bunch” in 70mm - Raul is pleased. Mouthful is glorious insanity (especially for being a Pilsner). The only other beer that completely blew away Raul’s palate in greatness on his first sip was Alpine Nelson in 2012. I mean, it just ends so soft it’s like if Candice Swanpoel herself stuffed the feathers into your pillow. Taste is spot on for the style, but it’s not a transcending feeling like when in Vancouver in my youth, and the part time model/hostess ran out of the sushi restaurant when we left just to give me her number. On top of that, it’s also not like swapping spit at midnight with this Brazilian Giselle lookalike on New Year’s Eve during the same trip. Go Raul.

It's hard for me to find a German Pilsner I truly enjoy. Purely subjective personal preferences. I like a pale lager to be at least medium body and have a very pronounced noble hop bite. Some Northern German Pils beers check those two boxes for me.
I was very excited to discover Fuerst Wiacek's Pilsner. Its description on the official website looked promising. And I ended up enjoying this beer!
It does have a pale straw gold color, which is typical for German biers. In fact, it's on the richer side of the spectrum. Pleasant to look at. Slightly unfiltered.
Nice foam and a bit of lacing.
The aroma is fantastic. Summer grasses and bready hints.
The taste was interesting. It is a combination of that light citrus spice and possibly a bit of a crisp apple at first. But then a nicely pronounced and elegant noble hop bitterness follows. And a very nice body, not a typical watery thin German Pils.
It's almost as if someone tried to brew a German Pils to compete with a Czech Pilsner.
Nicely done!

Copenhagen 26/10 2024. 44 cl can from Best of Beers web-shop. Purple and yellow can with simplistic drawing of a couple of mountains.
Pours unclear pale yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as uneven and lumpy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Massive lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with sharper scent of citrus fruit and grass. Sweet pale malts and bread. Lemon. freshly mown grass.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for bit. Finish is dry.
Fresh and crisp Pilsener.

Acquired a can while volunteering at the Eighth State festival on 7-27-24. Consumed on 10-3-24. Canned on 14/05/2024; best before 14/05/2025.
Beer poured pale gold with a gorgeous white head with the original pour.
Nose is nice, getting a nice white bread, some cracker, and an herbal hop.
Taste is well done. Pilsner malt base provides a nice bread and white cracker base. Noble hops come thru like a champ and add a very nice balancing and bittering white pepper.
Mouthfeel is very nice as well as this is light bodied and very refreshing.
Overall, a lovely German pilsner!
