Fuego Brew Co

this place is magnificent, seems almost out of place in such a small and modest town, this is a sprawling facility, almost looks like a treehouse, absolutely gorgeous in every respect. its all open up top, has some glass floor windows looking down to the shiny new brew house down below. the whole place is an oasis, on a beautifully manicured property with lots of cool plants and some outdoor music space. inside its all wood, a big like open lofted ski lodge or something, its brilliant. the bar is super cool, smallish, but with a ton of tables around it and a really neat lounge are upstairs with some swings to relax in and other comfortable furniture. the lighting is relaxed, surf films and snowboard movies play on the tvs behind the bar, and they had a small selection of house brews, plus a nice range of other costa rican craft beers, just a fabulous vibe in here. the brewer apparently spent some time at anchor and maui, so he knows whats up, and the beers tasted quite professional compared to a lot of the other craft beer we had in costa rica. the mango pale was awesome, as was the dark brown, but all that we tasted were very well made, if a little conservative in terms of styles. the service was awesome, very attentive and stoked, and the food we had was really sensational, honestly some of the better food we ate the entire trip. wonderful tuna and chicken and shrimp skewers, some of the best calamari ever, and just a very happy belly leaving this place. they had some soft live music happening, and all was right in the world in here. it was all amazing, and this was one of the beer and food highlights of our time in costa rica. not to be missed!!!
