(Sampler at the brewpub) This beer pours a deep oily red with a touch of cream-colored head. It almost looks like amaretto. The aroma is of deep, solid, tart malt with a dash of minty hops. It has a heavy, oily body. The flavor is of lush, thick malt. It is round and well-balanced. The flavor of alcohol is present, but pretty well masked. Another great beer from Seabright.

A=dark red-brown with a good medium head and mild hops aroma
Smell=not so much hops or malt in the initial pour-however, as the beer warmed up the hops and malt come through.
Taste=nice maltiness with a balance bitterness.
Mouthfeel-medium body
Drinkability-this is a solid beer that translated from draft to bottle with ease-if you are in Santa Cruz stop by the brewery and try th Resolution Red-
PS. This is Santa Weird \-why not call it Revolution Red Ale?

Appearance: dark brownish red. Like bricks. Nice head. Very thick lacing.
Smell: chocolate malt and hops (I think).
Taste: Wonderful. Like smell except stronger. My un-expert pallate is interpreting a tingly taste as hops- but which type of hops I can't pin down. Hops seemlessly fade into chocolate malt taste. Not stout-strength, but noticeable and lovely.
Mouthfeel: perfect.

This arrived looking big, red, and dark. The head and lace are average.
The flavors are also pretty big, bringing strong malts along with some degree of hops and alcohol. The smell is also of malts and alcohol, with the alcohol more apparent than it is in the taste. It could stand to be a bit smoother, but it's pretty decent as is.
