A lighter version of the brewery's flagship Pelican Pale Ale, which was enjoyed on the patio during a hot Monday afternoon. On to the beer:
Pale orange colored with hues of gold. Solid amounts of lace are kicked up and cling around the glass. There's a good hoppiness in the nose, bringing to mind whole hop flowers and vague citrus.
Definately on the hoppy side. Its taste starts off floral in the begining before a soft cream ale-like sweetness kicks in. Toffee, citrus peel, and fruity notes echo around. Fairly light bodied, refreshing, and easy drinking.
The overall flavor is pretty big for a 4.5%-ish ABV beer. I would be happy to drink this again, especially on a warm day.
