Probably the best offering I have had from Liberty to date.Poured into a standard pint glass a deep dark brown with a tinge of ruby swirl,a one finger creamy light mocha colored head atop.Aromas were big in the espresso department,a little roast and molasses as well.A nice mix of roast and and molasses-like sweetness on the palate, the espresso is really pronounced giving off big roasty flavors, the sweetness is big in the finish.Nice flavors, the sweetness can get to ya a little after awhile but again the flavors are really nice.

Served on draft at City Beverage.

A-Deep,dark brown/black with a small tan head. Head retained well and left some spotty lace.

S-Nice strong espresso notes with a fair amount of roasted malt coming through as well. Like a fresh cup of dark roasted coffee.

T-Strong espresso up front in the flavour profile. This one is mostly about the coffee. Subtle hints of roasted malt and a tease of dark chocolate in the finish.

M-Medium bodies and very smooth. Went down very easy. Lingering coffee bitterness lasts throughout the pint.

D-A totally solid coffee beer. Could be beefed up a little bit to make it even better but all in all this is a beer I wouldnt turn away. Seems like the new brewer at Liberty, High Point is doing some good work!

This beer has drastically improved. The espresso is noticeable but isnt overwhelming. The flavor was pretty much awesome. Loads of fresh pressed coffee and tons of roasty grains, which seemed to be left out last time. I really enjoyed this beer this time around. It was touted as "DaBeen Espresso Stout" so whether the recipe remained the same, I dont know. But this was by far the best Liberty offering to date.

Served on draft in a pint glass. Ther beer arrives with a small tan head. No lacing is present and retention is quite dismissive as the head quickly leaves and the remains are just a wisp of color on top of the beer.

Aroma was okay. Certainly some expresso type aromas in there. But, ther was an overwhelming StarSan aroma as well; kind of soapy I suppose. No hop aromas. The espresso was certainly noticeable.

Espress in the flavor as well. Just enough to let you know it is there. No real chocolate or anything else; mostly coffee. A little more of the soapy taste as well, though.

Not bad overall. I cant say this was a great beer, but it was a nice offering from Liberty. I would have this again certianly. Would be great with their Sunday Brunch!
