Our award-winning Mosaic Pale Ale, which we’ve named Gridlock, starts with a grain bill that includes a generous amount of flaked wheat. However, the showstopper comes next when we add a MASSIVE amount of Mosaic hops for a huge traffic jam of tropical fruit, berries, and citrus. The pale ale’s profile is accentuated by small additions of Chinook hops for a piney-herbal character.

A: The beer is hazy yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short white head that died down, leaving a thin head covering the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of tangerines and papayas are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, having flavors of tangerine citrus along with notes of papayas. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and somewhat crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer packs in a lot of citrusy and tropical aromas and flavors for an APA. It is rather easy to drink.
