It's like a wild pumpkin party in your mouth, and the vanilla spices are the VIP guests, making sure everyone's having a good time! So, raise your glass and toast to the Punk Monk Abbey Style Pumpkin Ale. It's a brew that's as unforgettable as a punk rock anthem and as comforting as grandma's pumpkin pie. On tap at brewery:
Pours a medium brown with a little haze and a decent light beige initial head. Nose is about what you’d expect with the pie slices, but with more of a dark pumpkin bread vibe than sweet pie. The flavor follows the pattern, with the pumpkin and spice being prevalent but not overpowering. I can sort of see there is a funnel at the base of this, with a heavy toasted earthy note beneath the spices. Fairly decent pumpkin beer for my tastes.
