750ml bottle. No apparent code date. Appearance: Deep brown, murky and opaque, with a minimal khaki head.
Aroma: Smells like a sugary toasted molasses, with some raisin and light roast
Taste: Rich malt sweetness of molasses and raisin with a distinct bread crust, and a touch of pear, caramel and roast. Bitterness just enough to balance
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a very low carbonation and a hint of alcohol warmth.
Finish: Lingering toasted bread and sugary molasses. All malt.
Overall: If i didn't know better imd swear this is a doppelbock. Rich maltiness that is almost cloyingly sweet, with a toasty dark fruit reminiscent of a doppelbock. Mouthfeel seems a touch thin, and carbonation is almost nonexistent. Nice malt flavor complexity, but lacks something to counterbalance
