Better than I expected.
A: Golden, like you'd expect, with a head of a couple centimeters, poured into a non-standard chilled mug. Left very little lacing.
S: Not much smell to this one, but got a slight saccharine sweetness to it.
T: I know most people don't like it too much, but I've tried several types of Honey Ales, and this is probably my favorite. It comes from an area in the country where beekeeping is quite a business, and I think it shows through in this beer. It hits you with honey, and keeps it on coming, with just a bit of hops to break it up so it isn't monotonous. Floral notes also seep in.
M: Sticky, yet refreshing. An odd combination, but it isn't overly thick, and the carbonation doesn't hide the honey texture.
D: Not very high, since I don't think I could handle more than 22oz of this sweet brew. Maybe the ladies would like it better... ?
At any rate, I'm visiting the brewery soon, hopefully to try the barleywine, since they seem to do well with "sweet"

yech.
Reminds me of that scene in Autie Mame:
<Claude> You'll never guess what that secret ingredient is...I'll say this much, there's no sugar in a Claude-Upson-Daqueri
<Mame> And yet it's...so...sweet... Whatever do you use? Chocolate Icecream!?
No. Honey, and lots of it. Not fermented, it's just 5.4%. Honey, after the fact. And gawd it's sweet.
Yech.
Not what I would call, "top shelf".

04/21/06- Received via trade with SethB2.
Presentation- 22oz bomber bottle with no freshness information. Poured into my Eye of the Hawk pint glass.
Appearance- Honey colored (who would have guessed that?). A bit cloudy. 1/2 inch seltzery head which disappears pretty quickly. The lightest of watery type lacing.
Smell- Really no smell at all except for a light honey whiff.
Taste- I guess I get what they are going for here...honey! Below a light toasted malt and just a touch of hops. Just enough for a light bitter taste. Mildly sweet malt taste.
Mouthfeel- Medium to higher carbonation level. Bit fuller mouthfeel due to the honey texture. Maybe just a touch thick.
Drinkability- Taste wasn't all that bad. Not something I would seek out again though. Kinda thirst quenching though.
