Made using selected Bavarian chocolate malt from Germany containing caramel and chocolate flavors, its rich flavor and ease of drinking are a showcase of classic German beer brewing.

Very dark brown, almost black in color. A malt, chocolate, and slightly sour aroma. The taste is quite light, for how dark it looks. Malty, a light chocolate and caramel flavor, with a small bit of hops in the aftertaste. A smooth mouthfeel with light carbonation. Quite refreshing. It actually seems lighter than their excellent Amber Lager. Had on tap at the brewery's bar at the Taipei Taoyuan Airport. Love this brewery! I think they do German-style beer well.
