Smell is sweet with a strong hint of Mango. Nice color and lacing. For a 7.8% IPA there is very little alcohol taste. A very easy to drink and tasty beer. Hightower got this one right. I will be drinking this again.

Release the Hoppin
A: Smallish head but poured fairly cold body is a rich amber caramel.
S: Nice light fruit melonesque, a little resin, malty with a little unfinished hint to it.
T: light bits of fruit, lots of maltiness a little rust qualities some resin.
M: medium bodies good carbonation finish is a little muddled.
O: it's ok, you can tell it has citra hops but they do not pop in the flavor the malt base masks a good bit of the fruit. This beer really doesn't distinguish itself from the million other small brewer IPAs I've had. Same malt base as them and same muddled Hop profile.

12 ounce can, reviewed on 6/2/17. No dating on the can but I believe this was from a batch canned about a week and a half ago. Served in a Spiegelau IPA glass, the beer pours a hazy copper/burnt orange color with about an inch and a half off-white head that stuck around for a while. There's also a good amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells mostly like citrusy (tropical fruit, candied oranges) and herbal hops, along with some bready malt. I think the taste is pretty much like the aroma, with mainly citrusy (tropical fruit, citrus peel, oranges) and grassy/herbal hop flavors and some bready and caramel malt noticeable too. There's a long lasting bitter finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth, a bit slick and easy enough to drink. I thought it was an enjoyable brew, I liked it. I'll have to try and make the trip out to Hightower soon and see what their other brews are like (one of my friends stopped out there last weekend and got me a couple 6 packs). $11.99 a 6-pack.
