From the 22 oz wax capped bottle (Vint 2022) in a snifter via Bluejacket74! Cheers Dude!
This solid imperial pours a coal black with a moderate head of brwon foam that settles to
a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some faint lacing. Nose of bourbon, vanilla, char,
maple, vanilla, and subtle oak. Flavors follow the nose with some exceptions with mellow
maple, oak, mellow bourbon, moderate char, dark cocoa, subtle brulee, and rich toffee and
earthy malts dancing about vanilla. Mouth feel is full, smooth, rich, coating, lightly warming,
light carbonation, and a bitter malt finish.
Overall, the bourbon and maple and muted considering the decanters used. Impressive
on not being cloying and nicely drinkable.
Cheers

22 ounce green wax capped bottle, December 2022 release. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with not quite an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. I like the aroma, the brew smells like maple, vanilla, bourbon and some roasted malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some oak, sugary and burnt/charred malt flavors. I think the maple stands out in both the taste and aroma. It's a sweeter tasting brew but not overpoweringly so either. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick and a bit syrupy with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall brew, definitely recommended if you like maple!
