Korona is syndicated-brewed at not less than 5 national & regional breweries, its quality varies. This one, available at some export markets, was from SunInterbrew Klin Brewery.
Medium yellow color with golden spark, medium level of carbonation, modest long-lasting head, elaborate lace.
Smell very weak, malty, a bit synthetic. Start also weak, body thin, taste lacks force and complexity. Hoppy notes here and there. Finish malty with a hint of acidity.
Not a great beer. I believe the original version, brewed in Omsk, is much better.

Ubiquitous throughout Siberia, Sib Korona comes out clear yellow with a fizzy white head that lingers long and leaves nice lace on the glass most of the way down. There is remarkably little smell, with perhaps just a touch of grain. The mouthfeel is watery. The taste is grainy (rice?) with just a bit of a hop bite in the finish. The aftertaste is minimal. I'm told by locals that this beer was better up until about a year ago. Could be Interbrew's influence...
