Comes in a tall brown half liter long neck bottle with the standard Sibirskaya Korona label featuring a crown. Ingredients conform to the purity law. Best before 3/3/04, I opened it on 11/29/03.
Pours a clear orangish gold with an off white one finger head with more retention than most Russian strong beers can muster. The nose is soda sweet. The mouth is heavy with sweet malt, and mildly carbonated. The opening is malty, with none of the usual fruity sweetness of a Russian strong. There's a mild and not unpleasant hoppy finish, providing just a touch of bitter. The alcohol is well hidden. This was a quite drinkable rendition of a usually undrinkable style.
