Standard brown half liter bottle with a red white and blue label featuring a fairly nice classical building on a square under a bright blue sky. Ingredients, incredibly, conform to the purity law. Best before 9/8/04, I opened it on 4/4/4.

Poured a clear, very bubbly gold under a 1/2 finger white head that continued to be fueled by the carbonation. Still, no contour and no lace. The nose is mildly metallic. The mouth is very prickly and medium-bodied. The taste is mainly harsh metal, with a touch of fruity (red grape?) sweetness. The finish is all raw bitter, tinny and upleasant. The aftertaste is equally harsh, fading only very slowly. I found myself grabbing for peanuts to clean my palate as a poured 3/4 of the glass down the drain. Life is too short.
