Having this on-tap at the brewery. Served in a tulip glass, beer draws a somewhat cloudy/hazy bright, medium golden color with a nice, thick white head that’s about an inch thick when first drawn and served. Settles eventually to a thick white ring lining the inside of the glass, some nice spots of film surface foam, and good lacing. Aromas of some bready malts, peace and cherry that give it a tart aroma and also a barnyard funk aroma followed by red wine oak. The taste pretty much follows suit, with a bit of bready malts followed by flavors of peach and barnyard funk with tart cherry and red wine tannins and oak notes that vie this a bit of a unique sourness. Very tasty, good mix and balance of flavors. Crisp, yet smooth, slightly prickly, medium to full bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a slightly dry aftertaste and a clean finish. A funky triple and a very unique take on this style.
