Having this on-tap at the brewery. Served to me in a stemless tulip glass, this beer draws a fairly cloudy, hazy light golden color with a white head that’s about half an inch thick when first drawn and served that settles to a thick white ring lining the inside of the glass along with some good lacing. Aromas of some bready, zesty malts along with a bit of yeasty esters no doubt from the Belgian saison yeast uses in this beer along with a slight fruity and peppery aspect to the overall aroma. Has a somewhat bready, zesty malt sweetness along with a bit of peppery spice that gives way to a hint of citrus hops with grapefruit being fairly prevalent along with a slight barnyard funk. Nice hop bitterness. Has a crisp, slightly prickly, also smooth, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish with a slightly dry aftertaste. Easy to drink in the way good beer ought to be.
