Smoked helles lager
A nod to when barley malt was kilned over open fires and all beer was smokey. Aromas of campfire and fresh-baked bread fade to a medium body with a rich but dry malty finish. Horizontally lagered two months for clarity of flavor.

From a 16 oz can, pours brilliant clear yellow, good head of white foam that gradually fizzles out to thin clouds and a ring. Aroma is smoky with a medium pilsner malt presence. Clear grainy sweet malt presence under a thick cloud of smoky flavor. Finish is very dry with traces of the soft, round palate still present. For a smoked beer, this is very well balanced, but smoke fans and smoke foes will likely beg to differ. I love it!

This is really good as I've come to expect from Noble Beast. The base helles is tasty and the smoke is noticeable but light. If anything I could see myself or others wanting a smidge more smoke but otherwise good beer

Straw yellow with a softly convex white foam head of moderate height settling quickly to a bubbly ring leaving sparse spongy lacing.
Lighter hued than I'd expect, yet there's no absence of smoke. At the same time, it's tolerably, even only mildly smoky, leaving room for pale malts and even a lightly tangy sweetness of yellow corn and white grape pairing with a touch of grass.
Feel is moderately light, and fluid, with an airy, sparse carbonation before finishing cleanly semi-dry.
