Been waiting for an opportunity to bring out the beer steins again. It happened to be through one of my favorite local places, no less. Took a bit to get through trips and the festival, but we're here.
This beer pours a lovely dark brown color with a healthy head that retains well. Now, I can't recall the last time I had a Czech style that wasn't pilsner, but this looks like what you would expect. It looks... well, traditional, cozy, hearty. It smells the same way - expected. It's malty beer. The taste is where it shines. It's flavorful but also soft and comforting. It is bready with a touch of woody bitterness. A bit reminiscent of cola with a dash of coffee. Touch of dark fruit after a while.
Very good stuff from a cool collab. Na zdravĂ!

The brown body is like very dark stained and polished cherrywood under a puffy tan head built by a perfectly excellent Lukr pull. I sat on this for a minute before bringing it to my lips and the head remained floating above the glass the whole time, fully creamy and dense all the while.
Lightly woody, autumnal, and slightly almondy characteristics are delivered by such a firm but soft body, after which semi-bitter grassiness and a little bready dark dough come out.
After having the excellent Tmavé Pivo by Missing Mountain only a couple days prior, the absolute deliciousness on exhibit here makes for a neck and neck competition.
